Golf figurines which are sports figurines are one kind of golf figure. They are made in a wide variety of styles, sizes, and materials.

We call a golf figure a golf figurine if it has a height of 15″ or less not including the base (if any) . Over 15″ and we call it a golf statue.

Golf figurines have a range of styles. They can be realistic in that they look like a miniature version on a real person, animal, or object. They can be abstract if there has been a lot of ‘artistic license’ used in their creation. They can also be art deco, and a number of other styles.

Some of the materials used to make a golf figurine include ceramics, wood, resins, bronze, clay, plastics, crystal, glass, pewter, marble,and steel. Some figurines have combinations of different materials such as marble and resin.

Just about any material can be used to create them. You could make one with ice that slowly melts!

Figurines and statuettes are usually the same type of thing. We call a statue a figurine or a statuette if it is 15″ or under not including the base (if any). Statuettes can be more representative of a living thing.

One of the most popular golf figurines is the golf action figure. An action figure is engaged in some kind of movement which is frozen in time. For a golfer it is usually at some stage in a golf stroke.

Bronze golf figurines are another favorite and they are made either of bronze or in much cheaper bronze finished versions.

Female golf figurines, and male golf figurines are pretty straight forward merely representing men, women, boys, or girls.

There are quite a few different types of humorous golf figurines. Funny golf figurines have always been a reminder of the lighter side of golf. They make great additions to an office desk or home. Just with a glance they can give you a chuckle.

Other amusing golf reminders include the bobble head golf figurines which, at a touch of their heads, are a joy to watch.

Another fun figurine category is the animal golf figurines. Something about animals playing golf tickles the funny bone. There are golfer dogs, cats, horse, rabbits, and lots of other animals. You can probably find a golf playing figurine of a fish! So cute!

Pangya is a popular type of cheap collectible figurine. Pangya golf figurines can be used as key rings or just for display.

The more prominent and collectible golf figurine materials include crystal, bronze, and ceramics.

Collectible golf figurines are usually old or vintage but have a good value because of their rarity and/or quality. Antique golf figurines are a special example of collectible figurines.

There are some noted artists who have done golf figurine work which is collectible. The most prominent is David Frykman who produces highly original work which is well sought after.

Jim Shore figurines are produced by the successful artist Jim Shore. He produces works related to golf which make a fine addition to any golf figure collection.

Some companies are reknowmed for their collectible golf figurines. Lladro golfers are unique porcelain golf figures which are sought after by collectors.

The very smallest figurines could even be called golf ornaments but we have given them their own section under miniature golf figurines. They are usually only a few inches tall.

For family or golf club celebrations there are golf figurines for cakes which are a great way to give good wishes to a golf player.
